Character & Core Values
The foundation for Communication and Connection
We're a proud partner of the YMCA, who uses our flagship program, The Family Honor Plate, to help families model and celebrate character, communicate, and connect in a deeper way. Check out Michelle's training video for the YMCA in the Speaking & Media Tab.

Where it Begins

#1 Be the example
Our flagship program was the Family Honor Plate and is the foundation for everything we do and teach with communication and connection. Originally created for families, it applies to individuals and corporate environments as well.
Our character and core values determine the choices we make, how we show up, how we connect with others, and ultimately the environment and life we create for ourselves and those around us. The character traits shown serve as a moral compass from which to work from. While your core values may be different, the framework remains the same and can be modified for any organization.
YOU be the living example.
Before we can inspire and celebrate character in others we must first be the role-model for what character is, what character looks like, what character feels like.
Do not underestimate your power and influence to others around you. Your children and colleagues are watching you. They are learning by what you do, NOT what you say.

#2 Be on the Lookout

#3 Celebrating those around you.
Look for the good choices and character in others around you. Whatever we look for, we will find. It's a matter of what we are looking for. Our intention creates the energy where people either feel safe and free or defensive and guarded. Whether at home or at work, we can support and encourage others to be their best selves. Since our character determines the choices we make, we can nurture and reinforce that character by acknowledging and even celebrating the choices and character shown. Understanding the impact and value of how we show up for ourselves and others changes everything - in our relationships, and in the workplace. Here you see a child being award the Family Honor Plate at dinner to celebrate her choices/good character. At work acknowledgement goes a long way as well. When a workforce feels seen, appreciated, and as a valued part of the team, job satisfaction, engagement, productivity and profits all go up. Contact us to learn more.
